Humanity was created from a passion
to help others follow their passions.

Before launching Humanity PR, Sara served as Manager of Marketing and Communications for Big Sisters of British Columbia. In that role, she helped launch a new annual fundraising event that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support at-risk girls across the Lower Mainland. She also doubled the number of volunteer mentors and participating schools for the Go Girls! after-school program — achieving this through engaging photography, creative advertising campaigns, social media management, and grassroots contest initiatives.

As Director of Communications at Yoga Outreach, Sara strengthened the organization's brand identity, doubled its social media following, and secured new sponsors, donors, earned media, and volunteers. She even secured sponsorship for a new website to expand trauma-informed yoga programming across the Lower Mainland — bringing these vital programs into youth and women’s correctional facilities, addiction recovery centers, an Alzheimer’s support group, and local hospital psych units.

Since launching Humanity PR, Sara has continued working closely with local charities and small businesses to creatively and affordably achieve their communications goals.

When she’s not supporting clients, Sara enjoys leading trauma-informed yoga classes in Surrey, hiking with her dogs, and spending time with her two little ones out and about in the community.
